Cheryl Bastian
Cheryl believes every child can develop a life-long love of learning. This passion was fostered and nurtured as Cheryl played school with her brothers and grew through high school when she assisted preschool teachers or tutored children with learning differences. Cheryl’s experiences led her to Illinois State University where she studied early childhood and special education. Her vast experiences which include twenty-six years of homeschooling eight children—ages five to thirty-one—have taught her to appreciate and celebrate the ah-ha moments children and young people need in order to discover their unique interests and giftings. A magazine columnist, blogger, and speaker, Cheryl walks alongside parents encouraging them to be intentional about using what is real and relational to keep curiosity alive.
